After being duped by an unscrupulous treasure hunter, historian Ingrid Torsten is determined not to allow anyone to muscle in on her latest discovery. She uncovers the mysterious past of a little known pirate named Lewis Scot. After she discovers that Scot had hidden treasure and left a cryptic message leading to it, she decides to look for the treasure herself with the help of a local sea captain. When the unscrupulous treasure hunter learns of her discovery, it becomes a matter of life and death to find the treasure.
