The Ghastly Crook Richies is a rhyming ABC book written and illustrated by John Trotter.

Dark humor and karmic retribution are the focus of this merrily illustrated poem book. As the world watches society attempt to be thrown under the boot heel of authoritarian oligarchs, dreams of a universal moral force taking cosmic revenge using their own hubris against them in a satisfying and sometimes gruesome manner is a much-needed indulgence. This relates the tales of 26 super wealthy people and their untimely and avoidable deaths. The drawings were done with the intention to be silly and special care to NOT be disgustingly gory and disturbing.

A series of rhyming vignettes with first letter of the first name as the ultra-wealthy tread in circumstances of their own creation which ultimately leads to their imminent (or possibly already occurred) destruction. A morbid look at stories about massively wealthy people putting themselves into these positions that a normal and sane person would take one look at and think "nope. I'm out". Unfortunately for them, their wealth and position has created a bubble of self-imagined immortality. It does not.

A whimsical look at karma and the reaping of what you sow.

None of the people in the book represent ACTUAL people.
