Sometimes the only power you have left is the power to save yourself...
It is the autumn of 2019, and the world is about to shut down. A woman in Toronto, Ontario is about to set out on a 500 hundred mile walk, against sound advice, up and over the Pyrenees in France and across Spain to the sea. After years of despair, estranged from her only child, she searches for a reason to "stay". Step after step, crossing countless seen and unseen thresholds, we are joined by the Dearly Departed, witness Divine intervention and appreciate all the surprising places we find restoration of spirit - in service, in arriving, in a bathtub. At times serious and at times silly, with grumblings and gratitude, this is a real account of walking back into health, tripping into Grace and meeting oneself in the middle of one's own life.
Like stepping through a magical portal, once she leaves the gate in Saint-Jean-Pied de-Port and heads into the mountains, life will never be the same.
