Forty Miles West of Nowhere can be seen as an autobiography in poetry, a life of struggle deep within the poet for his place in the world and the meaning of his life, of his search for love, and the ultimate victory of love found, nourished, and expressed time and again. Dan Sessions worked a variety of jobs, eventually moving into technical writing and editing. He worked at Sandia and Los Alamos national labs and in private industry, abstracting and editing scientific materials, writing software manuals, and developing training materials and websites. He worked in state government as a programmer and database analyst for the Administrative Office of the District Attorneys, from which he eventually retired. Throughout his life, Dan has maintained a passion for music and poetry, that has been ever-present in his life. This work is the sum of his life, his gift to the world. This is the full description of this book of poems.
