The Joker’s Revenge

Darci Miller tries to be the perfect seventeen-year-old daughter to her widowed father, but his over-protective ways are more than she can bear. She also knows there's a family secret involving her late mother and she's determined to find out what it is. In 1972, an opportunity comes up to work as a secretary at the Maine summer camp her mother worked at back in the fifties, and Darci jumps at the chance. But during her first week on the job, she encounters the first of several sinister pranks involving threatening messages and tattered playing cards displaying a Joker's handiwork. Who is this Joker? What do the pranks mean? In Darci's dreams, an evil clown chases her mother, so maybe there's a connection?

Darci is drawn into a dangerous game of whodunit, along with Ryker, her attractive boss. But the camp owners' spoiled daughter also has eyes for Ryker, leading to a showdown between the girls. Darci needs to prove to herself that she has the courage to find the truth, no matter the consequences...and not lose Ryker in the process.
