Self Preservation

Self Preservation is a book of poetry and thoughts about releasing yourself from performing for others, and normalizing feeling every emotion that comes with life, love, loss, and discovery. These poems and thoughts are meant to break the traditional rules of grammar, so that every word has the space to appear raw, unruffled, naked-real. It's a reminder that you have to participate in your own rescue.

When I finally stopped performing and start feeling, this is what came out. I hope you allow yourself to feel again, embrace the many emotions that come with self awareness, and are brave enough to use your voice and words in a world that oftentimes gives you every reason not to.
