My life was nearly perfect.

1. Grad student. Loving and supportive family. Best friends a girl could ask for. Protege to the most sought after professor in my field. Perfect, I tell you.

Then in just one week, everything changed.

Now...

1. Single parent. Living in a new city hours away from home. Best friend in tow. Rejoining academia after ghosting my dreams nearly a decade prior.
