In a world that often whispers, sometimes there is nothing else for us to do but listen. My most recent whispers, as faint as they may have been, led me to write this book, one that is more or less about another book, but so much more. Many successful authors stress the need for the first chapter to be alluring enough to catch the reader's attention. Then they say, create an interesting plot and then a twist. Both should be systematically interwoven throughout the pages. There are often challenges or specific character flaws that dance around throughout the first few chapters. But all that effort should lead to an ending that no one saw coming. A redemption of sorts. One that not only a book needs but also what the reader should feel. I'm sure all those literary recommendations are very important, I really am, but I've never truly considered any of those components. I simply write to honor those rare but definite whispers, and for those who taught me how to hear them. I hope you enjoy this honoring of love, loss, and a redemption of sorts.
