"The Blue House Across the Street" was inspired by Sally's Great Uncle Mike, as he noted in her posts on Facebook, were always accompanied by a photo of her pondering life while staring at the Blue House Across the Street.

Sally shares many of ther thoughts about the house, her new life, her mom and how she's learning to be a good dog outside the puppy mill.

Sally's Mom helped her put her thoughs in to words, as you can see through her photos throughout the book.
