These plays were written over a period of 50 years. BLACK JUDAS is a "dark mass," a protest play in the late 60's against social injustice and racism. The characters are Jesus and his disciples, his mother, and Mary Magdelene. It roughly tells the story of Jesus, and, in the end, I shoot the audience. In MRS. TERRIBLE'S AND THE LOOSE TOAD conservative parents visit their daughter in a house of hippies and love and rainbows bring everyone to what they truly love. In JUPITER MOON a man rents a room in a house with a mother and her teenage children living in isolation, cut off from life in different ways-the son building a motorcycle to escape to the moons of Jupiter. The man does his best to deal with each-both mother and daughter flirting with him and the son ignoring him. In the end he leaves and comes back to begin again and takes the son out on his motorcycle to explore distances between people greater than the distance to the moons of Jupiter. In BLIND DATE strangers meet, and what was meant to be a tease leads to dinner and other possibilities. In JUMP everyone takes a chance and finds love or what they need most. In DOGGIES a middle-aged married couple wag their tails and flop their ears seeking a sexier relationship and finding much more. In GABE an angel comes to visit and old and new loves come and go. In PATCHES two older men wonder about what comes after life and if Patches, a beloved dog, will still be happily fetching a stick hereafter.
