We are never so much like God as when we are dealing with the injustices of evil. This book was written as a spiritual tool of navigation to help sort through the theology of evil, pain, and suffering; and to be able to articulate in some way the reasons for why God allows the forces of evil to access humanity as we know it does. The irony is that the easier the explanation comes, the less evil a person has probably faced. Those who have been most affected by evil are usually at a loss even to find any reason at all to go on living a life that can be so strongly assaulted by the forces of evil.
