From beautiful sunsets to political commentary, Delilah E. Avery Green's pen of poetry encapsulates the beauty of words. The Color of Words vividly depicts the melodic seasons of life, the pain and the joy of living free, and the tear-jerking realization that the essence of life can be wrapped within a few lines of a page. Delilah E. Avery Green has always had a passion for the written word.

This is her first book. However, she writes poems for friends and family on special occasions and is an active member of a poetry group headed by Linda Opyr, former poet laureate, for about ten years. She has written articles for Innervision Magazine, founded, and published by Alicia Figueras-Lambert. A fundraiser magazine that supports children of incarcerated parents (www.innervisionmagazine.com). Mrs. Green has also co-authored The Day I Decided to Change My Life, compiled by Wanza Leftwich.
