It takes a village, and that has never been truer than for families that have to navigate daily life inside of a newborn intensive care unit (NICU), it's a journey few expect and come away from unaltered. This is not simply one child's specific story through his/her time in the NICU, but about an incredibly special nurse who provided that extra level of care and commitment. Kind-heartedness that not only improved the child's life, but the parents as well. You might know a family that has been through the life altering event of being placed in the NICU.
