The Magic Plum and The Cobbler’s Daughter are two short fantasy-fable stories
The Magic Plum: A little boy visits the market with his mother and, seeing a fresh juicy plum is about to take a bite when an old and scary merchant tells him a tale. It seems whoever eats that plum will be stolen away to a land where dragons reign. She takes the plum from him, but the boy has his heart set on that adventure and makes it his quest to obtain that magic plum!
The Cobbler’s Daughter The daughter of a cobbler is burdened with keeping her father’s business after he dies. Using cloth from a magic loom of her mother’s, she sews a pair of magical shoes and sets them out to sell. The constable informs her the points are too long and if she doesn’t correct the measurements, she’ll find herself in the stocks. Unfortunately, before she can make things right, they disappear. She must find the thief, get the shoes back, and fix them before morning!
Both stories are illustrated by the author.
