This is a story of roots, of memories, of lives lived far in the past. In 1927, the shepherd Giovann'Angelo, who had lost his wife three years earlier, died, leaving seven children, all very young, to their fate. The youngest of them, Minniu, having lost the chance of being adopted by a wealthy family, finds himself on a difficult path for a child, that of a shepherd's servant. Minniu survives the Second World War unscathed, but loses his father's brother, John the Baptist. When he returns home, he is still alone, but soon a young woman called Rosa enters his life. The text is accompanied by drawings by Walter Venturi, a cartoonist and illustrator of many works for Sergio Bonelli Editore.
