A mountain in South Korea, with an elevation of 429 meters (1,407 feet), Gyejoksan (Chicken Foot Mountain) is so named as the mountain stalks spread out like chicken feet. Throughout the mountain can be found temple ruins, burial mounds, Biraeam (a temple of the Joseon Dynasty), various fauna and flora, lookouts, scenic spots, numerous hiking trails, and at the peak of the mountain, Gyejoksanseong (Chicken Foot Mountain Fortress). Located in the suburb of Jang-Dong, the mountain is one of the eight designated scenic spots of Daejeon, and offers the nations first eco-healing barefoot walking experiences over a 14.5 kilometer (9.01 mile) trek.
