As Adoma eagerly awaits her sixth birthday, a milestone that carries the weight of her hopes and dreams, she is filled with the belief that dreams can come true. She longs to start school, just like her brothers did. However, on that fateful day, Adoma's father's words cut her deeply. But Adoma, a resilient spirit, knows better than to question her father. She bravely hides her tears and prays that her hand can soon reach her ear when stretched from the top of her head. Unable to contain her excitement when her hand finally reaches her ear, Adoma searches for her father to give him the good news. Finally, she hears the bitter truth, a reality that crushes her youthful spirit, leaving her heart heavy with disappointment.

Torn by her father's decision, Adoma turns to the only person she knows will understand: her grandmother, a beacon of comfort and understanding who has always encouraged her to dream big, the only one who can provide solace in her moment of disappointment.
