In this beautiful book, The Cross and the Peacock, Dr Markose shows us his gifted heart, opening ways for us to see the world, God, the earth and its creatures. Filled with surprises all along, each poem brightens the smallness of things and opens it all up in fullness. I was blessed to read these poems and was left in awe with this book. We need more theologians/poets like Dr. Markose, to help us see life, God and the earth in much more gentle, brighter ways.
