Benji recently lost their beloved dog, Oma, who was their emotional support animal and guardian angel of 9 years. Oma developed sudden, aggressive liver cancer that spread throughout her little body quite quickly. This short book, made possible by a 21 day poetry challenge, provides a glimpse of the first month or so after the loss. Benji was too depressed to work and was attending an Intensive Outpatient Program for mental health. These poems, in conjunction with therapy, helped them process and deal with losing their little love, Oma.
