He wrote 34 one-act plays, 4 full-length plays, and more than 22 books in Sindhi, including Sindhi Nasar Ji Tarikh (History of Sindhi Prose), for which he received the Sahitya Akademi Award. He was known as the "The Grand Old Man of Sindhi Literature".
