Reading about the historical phases and the conquests that followed one another, in a historical-geographical itinerary, explains the natural succession of peoples and cultures that have forged it with peculiar characteristics, outlining an ethnopolitical geography and a history of the environment and man-made landscapes that have given rise to the current panorama where it is now difficult to distinguish the work of nature from human transformations. The Guide has been published thanks to the fundamental support of the President of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, Gaetano Galvagno, who believed in the Sebastiano Tusa Foundation's project.
