Roberto Arlt (Buenos Aires, 2 de abril de 1900-26 de julio de 1942). Argentina. De padre prusiano, Karl Arlt, y madre italiana, Ekatherine Lostraibitzer, tuvo dos hermanas que murieron de tuberculosis. Arlt practico muy variados oficios. Fue, entre otras cosas, periodista ayudante en una biblioteca, pintor, mecanico, soldador y trabajador portuario.
