Toluca Editions 2003-2009

The catalogue of the showing is a display of remarkable graphic proposals characterized by the close links between artist/photographer, writer, and designer. The writers have some kinship with the artists and create pieces of fiction or poetry that accompany the images. Thus, Daido Moriyama, Candida Hofer, and Andres Serrano, are matched up with Michel Bulteau, Antoine Volodine, and Mario Bellatin, while the designers establish a penetrating dialogue with the artists and writers. Konstantin Grcic, Jasper Morrison, and Andrea Branzi, for example, are invited to design slipcases for books illustrated with the work of Jean-Marc Bustamante, Thomas Ruff, and Malick Sidibe.
