August 22, 2019 BIO Born in Chicago Illinois, Roger Aplon was a founder managing editor of Chicago’s CHOICE: A Magazine of Poetry & Photography with John Logan and Aaron Siskind. He has had fifteen books published: One of prose poems and short fiction: Intimacies and fourteen of poetry, most recently, The Omnipotent Sorcerer - Unsolicited Press - 2021 and After Goya - Cyberwit Press - 2021. In the course of his long career he’s been awarded many prizes and honors including an arts fellowship from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos. New Mexico. After an eight year writing retreat in Barcelona Spain, he now makes his home in Beacon. New York where he edits and publishes the poetry magazine: Waymark Voices of the Valley.
