This huge volume of loose-leaf pages describes the ancient Egyptian coffins in Czech museums. There are 21 coffins, mostly anthropomorphic, and five ornamented pieces of other house-coffins; they range in date from the 18th Dynasty to the Greco-Roman period, and in ornament from elaborately painted to almost plain. Most are without provenance, though a few are attributed to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. The most substantial item is the 21st Dynasty coffin of Anchefenchonsu in Prague. Description and discussion of each piece and its inscriptions with transcription, and photos. Text in German.
