One hundred days of fly fishing in Los Roques. A magical destination, full of possibilities to develop our beautiful art. In this book you will not find magic recipes on how to fish, who to fish with, or what to buy for fishing. My humble motivation is to share my own experiences and my enthusiasm. I wish to show that the time spent on the water, often in solitude and without anyone telling me "how", is not lost. On the contrary, time accumulates and increases the knowledge of each one of us. I have always tried to decipher how natural impulses move in an unconscious and original way towards this activity that I am so passionate about. The best angler is not the one who catches more fish, publishes more photographs or spends more money on equipment, clothing or trips. For me, the most evolved angler is the one who tries to blend in with the environment he is fishing in. I also believe that the good fly fisherman is the one who goes unnoticed, the one who leaves no human trace. For you, this may or may not be appealing. We all have different ways of fishing, and indeed living, with different perspectives and different goals. But I hope my vision of what I have experienced will be useful to some adventurous and intuitive fly-fishers. Daniel Racciatti was born in Rosario on August 10, 1961. He graduated as a Physical Education Teacher at the Higher Institute number 11. All his life as a teacher he tried to transmit his love of nature to his students. Excursions to the mountains and camping were his favorite activities during his thirty-five-year career. He worked at the Jockey Club of Rosario for more than three decades as a physical trainer for football, rugby and hockey. In addition, he was director of the summer camps and served as a children's soccer instructor until his retirement. In fly fishing, he coordinated the school of the Rosarina Fly Fishing Association for several years and is now a "selective" mentor. He was lucky enough to fly fish in paradisiacal places of fresh and salt water for more than forty years. Today he enjoys his two granddaughters and his grandson, fly fishing more often than ever, and he tries to write as well as possible.
