This comprehensive communication disorder affects around 1% of the world's population, i.e. 800,000 adults in Germany. The symptoms of stuttering are far-reaching and the psychological burden is very high due to impaired communication skills and stigmatization. As part of Sonja-Marie Schuetz's bachelor thesis, the effect of the "D.E.L.P.H.I.N." therapy according to Sabine Schuetz was examined. Based on this multiple case study with nine test subjects aged between 12 and 26 years, the effectiveness of the intensive therapy was proven with a high degree of significance. These successes relate both to the severity of the symptoms and to the psychological stress caused by stuttering.
