Hornos de Cal is a witness mountain or tectonic scale, which due to its relevant natural values has been declared an outstanding natural element, however, its flora and the vegetation present in its territory have not been studied. In the present work we approach the subject, knowing that its flora is represented by 259 species belonging to 195 genera and 77 botanical families. The endemism reaches the figure of 20 species exclusive to Cuba and has a species threatened with extinction. The vegetation of the cardiac hill shows representations of several vegetal formations such as: semi-deciduous mesophyll forest, semi-deciduous microphyll forest and secondary mangrove.
