The book is a collection of texts written differently as a result of various research projects carried out at UFRN. The texts chosen, although heterogeneous, form a coherent theoretical whole, adding strategic references to the study of the media. And seen in perspective, they correspond to stages in the evolution of my research, from criticising the role of the media in culture; to transdisciplinary reflection on the notions of conflict and representation; and reaching the current level of narrative media studies. The diversity of the texts reflects my intellectual journey through different approaches to the same theme.
