This study aims to identify the factors that trigger water consumption among family breadwinners and the young people who depend on them, especially the role of these people's axiological priorities. In this sense, it is believed that psychology can help to reduce problems of this kind, since it deals with human behaviour and the various constructs it studies, such as values, attitudes and emotions, can influence the actions and behaviour of the human race in relation to the environment, seeking to develop research tools that effectively detect strategies to minimise the degradation of nature and thus identify the origin of behaviour that generates unnecessary waste.
