Ground and surface water quality of some water sources in Bui division of the North West Region of Cameroon was evaluated for suitability in drinking, domestic and agricultural needs. A total of 157 samples were analysed in this work, with 80 samples from 5 springs in 2016 and 2017, 77 samples from 16 wells, 29 boreholes, 16 streams and 16 rivers in 2018. Twenty rainwater samples from the 5 subdivisions were also analysed in 2018. The springs were sampled in the heart of the dry season (February), in the transition period (March) in the rainy season (August) and during the transition into the dry season (November) for 3 years (2016 to 2018). In addition, seven rock samples were also studied. Agricultural activities were identified within the vicinity of some study sites. Field in-situ parameters were obtained and physico-chemical and bacteriological laboratory analysis were done. A petrographic study of the rock samples was also done.
