This collective monograph examines the genre-style phenomena of the history of Ukrainian and world music. The scientific publication presents the results of the unique many years of historical, theoretical and performing experience of the scientific and pedagogical workers of the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music. Essays on the history of world music have a personalistic orientation, which implies an emphasis on the author's point of view.
