A French edition of this book first appeared in 2015, two years after the death of Lyn Lusi in 2012. At the same moment some of the readers expressed the need of an English version to touch a larger audience oversees. This book is a particular response to a specific need: to raise up a voice about Lyn Lusi leadership style and uniqueness. This English version comes about ten years after the first version published in French by Edilivre in Paris. The English version is about to fill a gap, considering the English audience of people who knew Lyn and those whose story will be inspiring. 14 years after her death, her story is still vivid and a source of inspiration to many among people in Goma and beyond. Mama Lyn's life has left its legacy not only on her immediate environment, but also on those who have only met her through the intermediaries of her collaborators. The shadow of mother Lyn has covered many people, totally for some and partially for others, and I am one of those who are willing to share their experience with this great woman who has positively impacted the Eastern DRC through her well remarkable work.
