The work is devoted to the production of fabrics and sleeves from yarns of high linear density on a shuttle-gripper loom. The modernization of shuttle weaving machine is carried out by using the nature of the movement of the reims with the installation on the reims of the mechanisms for feeding and withdrawal of the weft to the shuttle grip. The parameters of the shuttle-gripper are determined. Regularities of movement of the shuttle-gripper in the shed are obtained . The equations of tension of a sinker sliding on a plane, on a circle of stationary and mobile cylinders, taking into account rigidity of a sinker, radius, angle and coefficient of friction are received . It is expedient to use a movable cylinder as a shuttle grip . The values of the angle of friction of the sinker about the gripper depending on the position of the shuttle-gripper in the shed are determined . A stand and methodology for determining the coefficient of friction of the weft against the shuttle grip depending on the shape, size and condition of the friction surfaces of the shuttle grip have been developed . Increase in the radius of friction of the thread on the hook grip leads to an increase in the tension of the weft thread. The coefficient of friction at rest is greater than the coefficientof friction in motion in all variants of rubbing surfacesyarn-grip shuttle.
