The origin of this project is my different contributions presented in a group of conferences, seminars, and workshops recently organized by different universities. What brings together this collection of interventions is application of postcolonial theory in the social, cultural, and educational Algerian and world contexts. Following my experience as an instructor of English Literature at the Department of English at an Algerian University, I offer some applications of postcolonial theory in social and the cultural context, as I also explore strands of colonial ideologies within the context of literary studies.
