Considering the importance of the maize crop for Paraiba, maize (Zea mays L.) seed collections were carried out during the 2007 and 2008 planting seasons in producing areas in municipalities in the micro-regions of Paraiba. ) were collected from producing areas in municipalities in the micro-regions of Guarabira (Guarabira, Alagoinha and Mulungu), Brejo (Alagoa Grande and Areia) and Itabaiana (Itabaiana and Gurinhem), in order to determine the mycoflora, using moistened filter paper as the incubation method.
