The school is a place of learning, of knowledge formation, where social relationships are developed. However, the practice of violence has started to occur, which as a social fact has caused great concern. However, it is not a new social phenomenon, as it has been present in everyday school life, taking on such forms and dimensions that mediation is needed to stimulate awareness not only among students, but also among their families. The aim of this book is therefore to identify the forms (types) of violence, their causes and consequences, the hypothesis being that this issue is an offshoot of the various expressions of the social question; to understand the conceptual foundations of violence, the historical-cultural and socio-economic aspects and factors that contribute to this practice; to identify strategies for dealing with and preventing this social phenomenon at school; to enable a critical and reflective study of the issue in question, in order to understand the essential role of education in dealing with this problem, aimed at all those who wish to understand this social fact and the ways of dealing with it.
