Concrete is a composite building material made by combining cement (usually Portland cement), water, coarse aggregates, and fine aggregates. Self compacting concrete (SCC) has many benefits in terms of production and placement compared to normal concrete namely, elimination of externalor internal vibration for compaction, better flowability, workability etc., so that we consider self compacting concrete (SCC). In the production of cement, the carbon dioxide is released into atmosphere in order to reduce this effect the cement is replaced by different supplementary cementitious materials like fly ash, silica fume, Ground granulated blast furnace slag, Metakaolin, etc.Concrete over the past few years suggest that cement replacement materials along with mineral & chemical admixtures can improve the strength, workability and durability characteristics of concrete. The research has focused on developing self compacting concrete in cooperating relatively large amounts of mineral by products such as Fly Ash and silica fume as supplementary cementing materials. Here two binary blended mixes were prepared one mix with replacing Fly Ash with cement by 10%, 20%, 30% and 40%.
