The present study, the effect of dry sliding wear behaviour of aluminium composites has been investigated. Aluminium matrix reinforced with SiC and MoS2 in this project. Aluminium alloy series Al6061 is used as matrix, Silicon Carbide particles (SiC) and Molybdenum disulphide particles (MoS 2 ) are used as reinforcements. The composite materials to be fabricated by using stir casting method to select the material combination for minimize the wear. In the Al6061 matrix, the reinforcements SiC and MoS 2 were varied from 3% to 5% by weights in three steps. Metal matrix composites primarily on improved specific strength and wear resistance application. Dry sliding wear behaviour analysed with the help of pin on disc apparatus. Further the conformation of the test was also conducted with the optimum parameter combination for the validation of Taguchi's results.
