This book reflects on the attitudes of professionals who work with psychoactive substances, especially alcohol, and their implications in terms of dependence, since this substance is still present in society and its harmful consumption is linked to numerous consequences. A comparative study was carried out before and after training by the Espirito Santo Regional Drug Reference Center (CRR-ES), using the "Scale of Attitudes towards Alcohol, Alcoholism and Alcoholics" (EAFAAA) as an instrument. The authors identified a predisposition to positive attitudes after completing the course, although there were few misjudgments, and highlighted the importance of knowledge to reduce preconceptions and improve attitudes during approaches. In this way, this book shows how attitudes influence a professional's conduct and also demonstrates the lack of training. This book is aimed at professionals from any field who work with psychoactive substances. We wish you a pleasant reading!
