Road paving is an important engineering project that plays a prominent role in the development of a country of continental dimensions, where approximately 70% of cargo transport is carried out by road, as is the case in Brazil. A properly executed pavement is intended to provide good traffic conditions, offering comfort and safety to users. In the quest for lower construction, operation and maintenance costs during its useful life, the aim is to make maximum use of local materials, such as soils from the region, preferably from the nearest deposits. However, to do so, it must be ensured that the materials have properties compatible with the demands to which they will be subjected. One of the existing soil improvement techniques is chemical stabilisation, in which additives are used to interact with the soil, improving its properties. Among the existing additives, in recent years there has been growing interest in the use of industrial polymers. This study aims to evaluate the use of an industrial acrylic polymer added to clayey-sandy-silty soil.
