Chronic Kidney Disease in Diabetic Patients

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease are highly prevalent chronic conditions that represent a major public health problem.are chronic conditions of high prevalence that represent an important public health problem. Objective: To characterize the presence of some risk factorsof Chronic Kidney Disease in diabetic patients belonging to the Family Medical Clinic 16-18 of Santa Clara Polyclinic, in the city of Santa Clara, Villa Clara, from January 2021 to May 2022. Conclusions: It is concluded that patients aged 60 and older of female sex, Diabetes Mellitus type 2, with an evolution of the disease between 5 and 9 years, obese, hyperlipemia and arterial hypertension predominated, the association between risk factors for chronic kidney disease was demonstrated. Recommendations: Design intervention strategies aimed atto prevent the appearance of risk factors for chronic kidney disease.
