The spatial evolution of vegetation cover on the periphery of the PNSO is analyzed using three satellite images taken on separate dates over a 30-year period from 1990. The satellite image from 1990 to shows that the area of vegetation is 57722 ha, that of the degraded zone is 26178ha. And the area of agricultural land is 8619 ha. However, by 2022, the agricultural and bare land areas will have expanded by 32017 ha and 23593 ha respectively. And a decrease in vegetation area of 15462 ha. According to our field surveys, demographic pressure is diversified, with 44% of factors influencing grazing productivity coming from rainfall, 34% from agriculture, and 21% and 1% respectively from pastoral activity and bush fires. Surveys of 148 households correspond to production units. Focusing on farm structures, the interviews focused on the general characteristics of production units, land use and land tenure and production systems.
