Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is the explicit and judicious use of the most efficient evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. EBM does not work on the basis of intuition, it says that through clinical experience and pathophysiology concrete clinical decisions can be made, emphasizing the value of clinical examinations and scientific evidence provided for clinical research.
