The construction of the actor Dilma Rousseff in cartoons published in the Opinion section of the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper is analyzed in this work based on the theoretical framework of French semiotics. The analysis focuses on the relationship between elements of the content plane and the textual expression plane. We observed the construction of the actor "Dilma" in her relationship with the actor "Lula" and the actor "parties" that made up her campaign allies. We described the actors' actantial, thematic and pathemic roles, the establishment of figures and themes at the discursive level of the texts, as well as the chromatic, eidetic and topological components that make up the cartoons' plane of expression. In this way, by analyzing the correlation between the planes of expression and textual content, we can grasp the semi-symbolic relationships that are established in the texts. We also intend to establish a parallel between the cartoons and their dialog with opinion articles published in Folha's Opinion section.
