Carrot production provides the perfect economic cover for growers in the Sanyago area. The presence of carrot pests (powdery mildew, Alternaria, Sclerotinia, etc.) and the threats faced by the market-growing sector prompted us to carry out a diagnosis of the fungal disease Sclerotinia on carrot (Daucus carota) in gates 1 to 4 of the irrigated perimeter (SCIPA) in Sanyago, 4th section, Saint Raphael. The problems faced by growers in these gates are not only technical (fallow, poor rotation and water management problems) but also phytosanitary (linked to plant protection products). Carrot cultivation is unprofitable due to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum attack, and once attacked, at any phase the grower will lose the entire harvest (Morency, 2017). Given the importance of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, further research is needed in the area, as the disease caused cannot be ignored without a thorough analysis in order to respond effectively to its impact on the commune.
