This book deals with polystyrene supported 7-methyl-1,5,7-triazabicyclo[4.4.0]dec-5-ene (PS-TBD) catalyzed synthesis of various 4H-chromene, pyrano[4,3-b]pyran and pyrano[3,2-c]chromene compounds. All synthesized derivatives were characterized and evaluated for antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. The characteristics of catalyst PS-TBD are reusability, cleanness and less harmful to environment, makes the chemical reaction more eco friendly. The antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of synthesized compounds shows very good result. Hence it is worth to give brief introduction concerning synthetic and biological consequence of the chromene and pyran derivatives.
