Le tapis qui couvrait presque en entier le parquet bien cire, n'etait ni une fine moquette francaise, ni un produit exotique: c'etait tout bonnement un honnete tapis au metre, cousu, double, borde, fait pour tenir chaud aux pieds sans attirer l'oeil…
