Worship is said to be the center of Christian church life - but how is it learned in confirmation work? On the one hand, there has been a common duty to worship for decades. On the other hand, the boredom of boys and girls in church services has long been known. This book starts with the youngsters themselves. In a triangulation of two types of procedure (44 group discussions and almost 1900 questionnaires evaluated), condition patterns for positive evaluations of services were worked out according to the self-statements of the adolescents. In addition, basic knowledge, willingness to communicate in writing and to cooperate, emotional-spiritual experiences and the forecast of motivation for future church services were asked. The result is a critical point at which young people’s assessments and motivation for services are decided. Field observations relevant to religious education support the results.
