War Games

David Levinthal’s photographs of miniature war scenarios seek to examine the way in which our society looks at conflict. A central figure of American postmodern photography; he stages uncanny tableaux using collective figures and constructed dioramas. War is a subject Levinthal has continued to address throughout his career and this collection is a culmination of all the work which has focused on conflict.
